Plush, brown velvet chairs and booths, ivory-colored walls, and soft lighting provide a stylish backdrop for ‘Cesca’s inventive southern Italian fare. This is the restaurant that turned us on to farro, now our favorite grain, serving it in a salad with endive spears, as a substitute for arborio rice in a mushroom risotto, and as a side accompanying a simple roast chicken. Other delicious offerings include the asparagus salad with a roasted egg and bacon, sea scallops with carmelized cauliflower, and simply grilled rib eye complemented by Tuscan herb fries and sauteed spinach. To start, the spicy parmesan and prosciutto fritters are a must! We particularly enjoy the always-inviting bar, first-rate service, and everyday celebrity sightings.
